Cool!

Iceland was a bit of an adventure, but rather tame compared to some of my travel around the world on frequent flyer miles last year...

Thanks

I read the stories about your travelsi n Iceland and getting back in the wee small hours after chasing all over Iceland – sounds like quite an adventure!

I’ll certainly look at setting up a night shoot as a workshop; als if all goes well on the spring photo-shoot we may well stay a little past dusk and get some night shots then.

Best Regards

Hi Ian,

I think a night shoot would be awesome. I've never done night shooting. I was prepared to try when I was in Iceland--I thought I would see Northern Lights, but the cloud cover didn't allow. However, on the tour to see them, we turned around at a church, so I used the same setting I had put the camera on for the Aurora. You may have seen the church in my photos from Iceland. It was fun to play with this. I didn't use the tripod I'd bought for shooting the Aurora because there wasn't time, but I thought it still came out kind of interesting. I'd really like to learn how to do all this correctly.

Thanks to all of you who booked on the workshop It looks like we will have an absolutely fun group of people. Now all we need is some good weather and we will have a ball.

You will notice I updated the details and I just wanted to let you know that the RSVP limit shows 6 and not five. It's necessary to set it to six so that I have five participants plus myself as the sixth person - it's a quirk of the system in that it counts the organizer as a participant (which I understand is the best way to teach!)

There is just one place left - considering the caliber and quality of the people who have already signed up, there is no better group to hang out with and have fun while learning, so it's an absolute snip at $30.00.

If any of you have ideas for future meets let me know.

I definitely want to do a night shoot and I am considering offering a one day studio shoot workshop in the near future. Let me know what you think!

Best Regards
Ian Murray,
