This is a group for anyone interested in an 18th-century delicacy called Pie Mash and Liquor. A shop at the forefront of many Londoners, selling single pie and mash, double pie and mash, triple triple, single double, double double all with liquor "That green stuff". Also famous for selling eels, originally caught from the Thames, but no longer from that section of water. Etiquette - no gravy and only use a spoon and fork provided. There isn't a meet up celebrating these phenomena, so let's attend one of these shops, once a month and enjoy some rub a dub. Fancy coming along then click join.
I personally have never been to Arments before. Let's give it a go.
Arment’s Pie, Mash & Eel House trades on the Walworth. Owned and run by third generation Arment’s Roy & Cheryl.
In recent years Arments has been recognised for it’s history of services to the London community, by being voted to a have a building named after the business; Arments Court on the new Aylesbury Estate in Walworth, being awarded a Blue Plaque in 2013.
