What we're about

This is a group for anyone interested in getting outdoors and connecting with nature. We plan outings throughout the greater Piedmont region that include hiking, paddling, farm tours, woodland walks, wetlands exploration and more. All skills levels are welcome. We started this outings program to help people of all ages get outside, including children. Get outdoor with us!

Hike-A-Thon 2019

Pilot Mountain State Park Pilot Creek Access

Hike for the land! By popular demand we've moved our annual hiking fundraiser to the spring. Hike with family, friends and fellow land-lovers from the Pilot Creek trailhead all the way to the overlook at Pilot Mountain State Park--about 5 miles of moderate hiking. Along the way you can stop at reststop tables on the trail to learn about PLC's work, take part in a nature craft (for the young and young at heart), take a photo, and refuel with water and snacks. Your $35 registration will help Piedmont Land Conservancy protect more important places and comes with a registration bag which includes: Hike-A-Thon hat designed by Mindful Supply Company. A pair of Farm To Feet hiking socks (Men's or Women's size), courtesy of our friends at Farm To Feet. A PLC sticker for your car, cooler or anywhere else. A one-year membership to Piedmont Land Conservancy. Register online: https://secure.qgiv.com/event/hat19/
