Happy Festivus!

  • Come one and all and join Piedmont Ecovillage for a skip 'round the metal pole! It's time again for that perfect all-inclusive secular December gathering:

    • Bask in the cold hard honesty of the Annual Airing of Grievances!

    • Impress your friends with your Feats of Strength!

    • Marvel in ordinary events that qualify as Festivus Miracles!

    • Stare in wonder at the Plain Metal Festivus Pole! (tinsel is too distracting...)

It's a Festivus for the rest of us! :-)

    ... but seriously, folks ...

Every December, our community comes together to enjoy each other's company and try to avoid "talking shop" (that is, stuff like zoning laws, tiny house strength-to-weight ratios, operating agreements, and the latest in composting toilet technology). Piedmont Ecovillage is made up of people from all sorts of faith traditions (and some with none), so a little nonaligned fun is in store to bring us all together.

Please bring something yummy for the potluck meal, and the group will pay you back with good conversation, games, musical instruments, and whatever other creative stuff you want to bring. This event is for everybody, even if you've never been to a Piedmont Ecovillage meeting. We're gaining real momentum for our group -- come take part in the fun before we get back to business in 2017!

P.S. Never heard of "Festivus"? Check out the Seinfeld episode that started it all:
