EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER for Pigs Peace Sanctuary!
We received the message below from Judy today. Please help by donating any amount you can! No event is planned at this time, so donate online here: http://pigspeace.org/main/donate.html "Summer is usually a wonderful time here at the Sanctuary – visitors come weekly, the pigs stay cool by spending time under trees in the forest or by soaking in their ponds, and all of us enjoy a wonderful bounty from the organic gardens. I’m sad to say that without your help, this summer will be quite different. About a week ago, I was injured while helping A 700 lb. handicapped pig here at the Sanctuary. It is unlikely that I will be back on my feet before Winter. as you know, I’m not just the founder of Pigs Peace. I work with these special animals every day – ensuring they have the best care, the cleanest pens and meadows, and the freshest hay for their beds. My injuries are quite serious and complicated. I am unable to do the work I love in the months ahead. While we are blessed with many wonderful volunteers, we are estimating needing another $5,000 a month to keep things running smooth – that’s a total of $15,000 needed before Summer officially ends. This is just to care for the pigs themselves – I have not yet seen the medical bills from the hospital where I spent five days hospitalized after the accident. I am writing to you because you understand the importance of the work we do at Pigs Peace. Please consider a donation to the Sanctuary during this critical time. With your help, we will be able to continue to care for our pig friends, keep our doors open to visitors, and continue our important educational programming, now and in the future. Thank you for lending extra support until I am back on my feet, and for being a part of the Pigs Peace community. What we're about

Pigs Peace Sanctuary Needs you!
Learn more about the Sanctuary here:
http://www.pigspeace.org

This is a group for people that want to help Pigs Peace Sanctuary by joining occasional work parties, attending or supporting fundraisers and of course donating!

Unfortunately, we do not have work parties very often even though we'd LOVE to have them all the time.

If you are able to make a commitment to volunteering at the Sanctuary on a regular basis, then please do contact Judy at pigspeace@gmail.com . Please be aware that she gets tons of email, so she may not respond right away. Being a committed and regular volunteer means you are able to work at the Sanctuary at least once a month, have your own transportation to get to the Sanctuary, and are responsible enough to show up when you say you will.

Don't forget - you can always support the Sanctuary, by shopping at Vegan Haven:
