Yoga is a holistic practice that helps improve health, well-being, strength and flexibility in both mind and body. It benefits all who practice it, regardless of their physical capabilities, but above all it is FUN! YOGA FOR CHILDREN AND WHY DO IT? Yoga is a fun and relaxing way for all children to develop important skills in a positive and non-competitive setting. These skills include respect (towards themselves and others), coordination, balance, flexibility, strength, body consciousness and self-esteem. Children learn better when they have fun. This is why my sessions involve stories, songs, games and yoga poses that allow children to learn in a multisensorial way. My sessions offer a balance between spontaneity and structure so that children learn to listen to one another and express themselves creatively by listening to their body. Each pose should be enjoyable and they must only do it when they feel ready. Considering children’s development and how quickly their bodies change, this becomes an important skill.
