Greetings, writers! Pioneer Valley Writers' Workshop is a writing school based in Williamsburg, MA.
We offer one-day and multi-week workshops on a range of topics in fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Our instructors are all local authors and experienced writing instructors, and our classes include a plethora of handouts, writing tips, craft lessons, in-class writing exercises, sharing work, and lively group discussion. The goal of our workshops is to combine a traditional discussion-based writing group with an abundance of craft lessons and helpful techniques. Our instructors also have full freedom in designing and curating their workshops, so there will be differences in style, presentation, and format of workshops from one to the next.
Pioneer Valley Writers' Workshop is open to all writers of all genres, levels, and backgrounds. Most of our classes are also open to all levels and genres, with the exception of some multi-week workshops, which may require a writing sample and separate application.
Mark your calendars, and come join our writing community! Meet fellow writers, get in a couple hours of writing, and start your weekend with some creative inspiration! This FREE gathering for writers of all levels, genres, backgrounds, etc. will be led by a different PVWW instructor each time. The first hour, we'll get our creative juices flowing with a number of fun, engaging writing prompts, and the second hour we'll write quietly. Of course, writers are free to work on whatever they'd like - prompts are optional for those who'd like some inspiration getting started. Afterwards, there will be plenty of time to mingle and meet fellow writers! Open to all. Young adult and teen writers welcome! We have a large room and a number of tables, yet space is still limited so please RSVP if you plan on coming!
