• Pirate Party Australia National Congress 2019

    Payneham Community Centre

Pirate Party Australia's National Congress for 2019! This is our peak national event every year, where we nominate officeholders, debate policy amendments, and take care of party business. The entire event is livestreamed with full remote participation enabled - we're the digital party so there's no reason why we can't use tech to it's fullest. See the party wiki for more information, including details of agenda items and position nominations. Non-members welcome to attend. If you wish to donate/pay for attendance, but prefer not to use PayPal, then please select one of the free ticket options and go to the donate page on the party website to donate. Please just use "Congress 2019" as a reference and email [masked] to let us know. • Legalise It! - Rally Against Cannabis Prohibition

    Speakers Corner, Parliament House

There is no basis for cannabis to be listed among the schedule of prohibited poisons. It's non toxic and demonstrably safer than either tobacco or alcohol, both of which are legal for adults to consume. We are calling on Australia's parliaments to bring about the necessary legislative changes needed to legalise cannabis for all recreational, medicinal, agricultural, culinary and industrial applications. Join the Pirate Party, the Greens, the Liberal Democrats and more as we unite to rally around this senseless prohibition! Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/288732508515367/ We're going to meet up at Irish Murphy's afterwards, perhaps around 5pm depending on the rally, to chat and have a beer
