Toronto City Hall and PitchIT TO have done it again! Welcome to the 2nd #PitchIt (https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/pitchit?source=feed_text&story_id=868989093256357).TO-City Hall. Join us for another fantastic evening of pitches, pundits, and pizza in the City Hall Council Chambers. Watch as four exciting new Startups pitch their business to a panel of experts and a combined audience of 600+. No boring votes on garbage collection, just real and unfiltered feedback. Seating is limited and our last event was a complete sell-out, so reserve your spot now!

What is #PitchIt?

#PitchIt is an entrepreneur-led, grassroots event series that provides startups with a platform to market their product or service, drive brand awareness (PR!) and practice their funding pitch. Our aim is to foster community support and help entrepreneurs secure investments, attract talent and polish their presentation skills. Above all, it's the perfect venue for all attendees to network!

What Should You Expect at #PitchItTOCityHall?

Four startups who are on the funding trail will pitch their companies to the audience. There will be an advisory panel comprised of three of the ‘big names’ in the entrepreneurial world who will lead the open Q&A.

Each company will have 11 minutes to pitch, followed by a 5 minute Q&A. Once the pitches are complete, we will open up the session for networking where all attendees will have a chance to meet like-minded entrepreneurs.

The event will be taking place on the third floor but registration for all guests is on the first floor. Please bring a business card for a chance to enter raffle draws.

Who is #PitchIt for?

If you are a startup actively seeking investment or getting ready to raise funds, #PitchIt is a great forum for you! Not only will you receive direct feedback about your pitch and/or product (which you can incorporate into future pitches), you will also have the chance to connect with recognized angel investors. Being a #PitchIt participant gives you the chance to work on your pitch material and learn to answer tough questions *before* game time with an investor!

Not looking for funding? Come out anyway to watch some pitches, ask questions and help expand the #PitchIt community! There will also be allocated time just for networking and chatting with others in the field. It’ll be a great opportunity to make more connections and even strengthen your LinkedIn profile.

#PitchItTOCityHall is hosted by Open People Network and sponsored by Hardboot Communications Inc, Flow Water, the City of Toronto, Miller Thomson LLP, and SIMBL.

Want to pitch on September 6th or at another upcoming event?

To be one of the four companies you must be actively raising money or about to start raising money. #PitchIt is open to all sectors and industries, so you don't need to be in tech to pitch.

If you're interested in presenting at one of our PitchIt events, email [masked] and provide us with your contact info, company name, and confirmation that you're in the fundraising cycle (or about to start). We'll follow up with you from there.
