Biddle's Escape from the Ordinary

This is our monthly East-ish Pittsburgh event. Come out and play backgammon with friendly people, have a fancy coffee, and chow down on a sandwich or a bagel at one of the last truly independent coffee shops in Pittsburgh.

Details will vary month-to-month, but you can always just bring a board and play with whoever is available. As casual or as competitive as you want.

We have a wide variety of skill levels. If you have never been to an event, one of the organizers will match you up with someone who is about your same speed.

For the more competitive among us, we always offer 4-player mini-tournaments, winner-take-all, with a small entry fee and a cash prize for the winner.

We had a lot of fun with 12 players, with 2 first-timers.

Congratulations to Joe Z who won a 7-player bracket and Bill Hathaway who came in second.

It was great seeing everyone and look forward to playing more backgammon next week at Duke's.

Looking forward to seeing that bad boy! It will almost fill one of the tables upstairs so you getting there a few minutes early is a good idea.
