For the fifth year, Olde Town Grove City is preparing for one of its most popular events, the Olde Town Grove City Winter Wine Walk. This year, Joden Jewelers and Nonni’s Corner Trattoria are the presenting sponsors. Dave Valenza, Nonni’s General Manager says “Nonni’s Corner Trattoria is proud to be a long-running sponsor of this exciting Olde Town event. It’s a perfect time for guests to enjoy a great variety of regional wines in our beautiful downtown Grove City setting. It’s a guest favorite event!” During the walk, various Olde Town merchants host wineries and food vendors in their stores and wine walkers go from store-to-store, sampling and purchasing wine as well as sweet and savory foods, and enjoying specials from the participating stores. Each ticket holder receives a commemorative wine glass that they can pick up at the check-in area located at Steigerwalds’ Kitchens & Baths; tickets entitle purchasers to participate in the tasting event and specials from Olde Town shops. Tickets are $20 each and are on sale at Ticket quantities are limited. Olde Town is expanding the event this year to include nine different wineries and two sessions. David Mills, Olde Town Grove City Manager explained “We sold-out all available tickets last year, so this year we wanted to grow our capacity. We’ve added two wineries and an afternoon session. A total of 22 Olde Town businesses are participating.” The Wine Walk runs from 1-4 and 5-8 PM on Thursday, February 27th.

Participating wineries include: Conneaut Cellars, Courtyard Wineries, Deer Creek Winery, Flickerwood Wine Cellars, Foxburg Wine Cellars, Mazza Vineyards, Starr Hill Winery, Presque Isle Wine Cellars, and Wilhelm Winery.

“The Winter Wine Walk is one of the best days of the year,” Micaela May-Vraebel, owner of beans on broad, stated. “It’s an amazing thing to see people from all over walking up and down Broad Street, laughing and really enjoying themselves.” May-Vraebel has been hosting wineries for every wine walk, and is hosting Foxburg Wine Cellars again this year. “This night is really a chance to show off all of our wonderful shops and businesses. We have people from as far as Ohio and Pittsburgh in for this event, many for the second and third time. They are so impressed with our town, this really makes it all worth it!”
