Beginning Tai Chi classes in North Hills

St. John's Lutheran Church

The Taoist Tai Chi Society is pleased to offer Beginner Tai Chi classes in North Hills at St. John's Lutheran Church in McCandless. This class will meet every Monday from 6:30 pm until 8:00 pm. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes and come prepared to move in a slow, easy rhythm. We take a brief tea break in the middle so we can socialize a bit and get to know one another. This class will be learning the full 108-move Tai Chi set and has been underway since June 13th. While designed for beginners and beginners are always welcome, starting in the middle can be challenging for some new-comers, so if you prefer to start at the beginning, a new class will start in the fall. (Continuing Taoist Tai Chi students are always welcome!) Tai Chi is a very gentle exercise that is good for many things. It's peaceful, improves balance, circulation, and concentration, just to name a few benefits. Come meet some great people in a casual laid-back atmosphere. (Your first class is free. The Taoist Tai Chi organization is a non-profit organization with a suggested donation of $40 per month for adults and $30 for seniors (over 60). For beginners, there is also a special prepay rate which we will discuss during class. (As your instructor, I do not receive any payment for my services -- we're a volunteer organization.) Donations go towards paying for space and organizational expenses. Also, there are additional classes available in the North Hills that you are welcome to attend and are included with your donation.) Financial hardship scholarships are available upon request.
