Create! Sell: Pittsburgh is a group for visual artists and creatives that are interested in learning opportunities that will help them to market and sell their work. This group is appropriate for painters, sculptors, illustrators, potters, fiber artists, jewelers, photographers and any other other visual artist.

Events will be focused on different areas of development for a visual arts business.

Art Marketing Roundtable: Writing an Effective Artist Statement

Are you struggling to write an artist statement? Do you need an artist statement for an upcoming event or call for entry, but are unsure where to begin writing one? Artists are invited to participate in an Art Marketing Roundtable Discussion, facilitated by Becky Sciullo of Artisan Advantage. The Roundtable will start with a fifteen-minute overview of the topic, followed by a group discussion. Artists will have an opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and listen to what others have to say about the topic. If you have an artist statement that you'd like to share, please bring it with you. If not, that's ok too! This event is free of charge. Size is limited to 20 participants. Art Marketing Round Table: What's Your Selling Strategy?

Are you selling your artwork consistently? Are you happy with the amount of income your art business is generating? Or, do you find yourself involved in a lot of activity with little results to show for it? Artists are invited to participate in an Art Marketing Round Table, hosted by Gilberti Fine Arts in Coraopolis, PA. Becky Sciullo and artist/gallery owner Cindy Gilberti will facilitate the discussion, focused on how to find buyers for your work. The round table will start with a fifteen-minute introduction to the topic, followed by group discussion. Some of the questions we will discuss include: How to decide which social media platform is best for your business? How to best manage your time on social media?
