This group is for all moms, or moms to be, that are interested in food and nutrition and want to develop and/or maintain a healthy lifestyle for them selves and their families.
With guidance and expertise by the group leader, Karin Gibson, who is a trained dietitian and plant-based nutrition coach, this group will focus on how to eat plant-based during life stages such as: pre-pregnancy (including improving fertility), pregnancy, postpartum and while breastfeeding. It will also go through how to introduce solids to your baby and bring up children plant-based. This group will also be a great opportunity to meet like minded women and exchange experiences and discuss different challenges we are facing. No requirement to be plant-based to join the group, everyone interested in grazing more greens and simply create a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle is welcome.
Many women start to think a little extra about what they eat when they get pregnant as they suddenly have someone else to be responsible for. Others are already eating very healthily, but are worried if what they are eating is enough for their growing body during pregnancy, or while breastfeeding, or would like to learn more how to maximizing the chances to get pregnant. Or maybe you are in the stage where you are starting to introduce solids to your little baby, or struggling to get your toddler to eat vegetables. All these different topics will be covered and discussed in this group.
Each Meetup will cover these topics one at the time, but also have some time during each meeting for an open Q&A so whatever nutrition related question you may have feel free to bring them.
