What we're about

This group is for you if:

• You get nervous when you are asked to speak in front of a group.
•  You want to improve your communication skills to advance your career.
•  You want to become a paid professional speaker.
•  You want to get leadership training and experience.
•  You like to meet like-minded people and have fun.
Is the fear of public speaking holding you back from achieving your career and personal goals? If so, you’re not alone! It doesn’t have to be that way! We can help you become a more confident, polished speaker who is prepared to speak at a moment’s notice.
You are invited to visit one or more clubs in the Plano-Frisco-McKinney area. Meeting days and times vary and most clubs offer open enrollment. Guests don't need to bring anything and speaking as a guest is optional. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early. We look forward to meeting you!

Leadership Lambda TM Club is Fun!
Our club is an eclectic group of supportive and energetic people. We have members of all ages, backgrounds, and professions. Our meetings tend to be fun, and we often gather after our meetings at a nearby restaurant for dinner and socializing. We regularly participate in other community activities.

The First Gay-Identified Club in Toastmasters!

Leadership Lambda TM Club was chartered in June 1997 as the first gay-identified Toastmaster club in the world - but you don't have to be gay to be a member of our club. Toastmasters International welcomes the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered communities. TM's bylaws explicitly prohibit discrimination of any kind.

We currently have both gay and straight members in our club. We are an Open Club, meaning anyone can join our club after attending one meeting (but you must be at least 18 to join). We welcome guests to our meetings. We encourage you to join us: we can help you to improve your communication and leadership skills.
