The purpose of the group is to gather a group of like-minded parents who want more out of their child's first school experience (an alternative to academic preschool). Parents attend our Seedlings groups with their children. If you are interested in allowing your child to learn in developmentally appropriate ways in a loving, nurturing environment....come check our group out! Your child's first school experience should be a positive one where the child feels loved and accepted. Home schoolers/un-schoolers and everyone welcome! We are a Parent/Grandparent and Me Cooperative program-fathers, mothers, grandparents, Nannys too. Info on the role of the attending adult is on the website :).
NLA offers programs for everyone:Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday Mixed-age 2-5 (younger siblings always welcome). Please visit our website with the link below for all program dates and registration information.
Please also find us on Facebook and Instagram-events are posted here as well. We also have Parenting support Chat/Toolbox meetings!
Some of the activities we offer are nature exploration, gardening, building with different materials, sensory activities, imaginary play, music, reading, science experiments and lots of creative art! The child has the freedom to choose and engage in whatever they want each day. We rent a beautiful space with tree filled playgrounds, an indoor classroom and a community garden.
