Creative poetry-meeting for poets who like to share poems and get feedback.

So far, the meeting will be at the Daily Grind Coffee as always...although there have been some other suggestions by a poet including the John Lewis' Cafe' in Oxford Circus.

As always, please bring enough copies (handwritten or photocopied or printed!!) of your poems to share with all the members...

And as Ashley wrote in one of her poems:

"Poem for Rant" by Ashley-Yin

I want to rant but my brain is stuck on high, too fast to type what is on my mind.So instead I sit listening to music of time in the darkness of 100 colourful fairy lights. And with this sense of bliss it may be best...to bless you all...a hug & kiss good night."

GOOD NIGHT!!!

    Dear Poets,

It was very nice again to meet you last Saturday. Again we shared poems and got sincere suggestions. We made up new ideas to improve our meet up...we may change location next time, so take a look at the location carefully in the coming weeks.
I will contact soon to give you more details, bye R

Actually, BB, the bit about "round the coffee table" is vital. Without that, it could be in the pub.

It was nice to meet you all again. I hope you all enjoy whatever yo do at Christmas and Fridoun, i hope things get better for you. I'll see you again soon Romina cos , like i said , i'm going to hide myself in your luggage so that will be a nice surprise for you when you unpack, haha. Christmas in Italy!!!, i can't wait.!!!
I tried scanning in a poem and you can zoom in and read it. If you open another photo album just for poems i'll scan them in. So did we decide on 'Celebrations' as a theme to write a poem on. See you all after Christmas. Ciao

Not feeling fantastic - hope to come, but if I don't, that's the reason.

Good idea. I've seen this in other groups and it's a good way of introducing people to poets they may not have sampled.

Agreed, Romina, which is why I like it and would hope any new venue would be just as accessible.

Hi Poets, I have a minor request, hope you can help me. It is about editing a story, a very short story [masked]? words). No deeper analysis or elaborating on plot's mechanics is expected (but welcome of course), just a few remarks concerning English, sentence structures etc. I'm would be more than happy to pay you back - my currency is returning the favor or beer (s) Please, msg me if possible. Best, n.

Central is important to me, or rather, nearness to an Underground station.

Hey Romina. Would the cafe be big enough if 10 people or more come. Maybe we should look for somewhere bigger. Also it was a bit inhibiting reading poems that contain swearing etc when there are other people in the cafe. Maybe it's only me that writes those sort of poems haha. Never been to the Poetry Cafe but would that be better. Just a thought. Hope you are well, look forward to seeing you again. Peter.

Hi Peter, you may be right... Thank you for your advice. To be honest I had the same thought! We will keep to meet up at the same place this coming meet up, and probably change venue from the next one. Fridoun suggested the John Lewis' Cage in Piccadilly Circus, which is big, quit and central...I will think about it. Any other suggestion is really welcome... Have you written some very funny and comic poems of yours for our next meet up? I ma looking forward to hearing them! I have two poems to read and hope you like them...they are one year old but I have been working a little bit in the last months... see you soon, R
