Departure Meeting at Heathrow on the day of departure
Having just returned from one of my most memorable trips to Rajasthan, I am putting together an exclusive trip for March 2019. This is anticipated to depart from London Heathrow on Tuesday 12 March, arriving back on Thursday 28 March, giving 15 nights in India. This full-on trip will cover 3 major cities, Udaipur, Jaipur and Agra and will hopefully include 8 wildlife safaris (primarily leopards and tigers) and a day in Bharatpur bird park, not to mention sunset and sunrise at the magnificent Taj Mahal. The photographic opportunities on this trip will be awesome. I am carefully sourcing accommodation etc en route - it will not be 5 star but will be of a good standard. Most of the hotels, I will already have stayed at on previous trips. I anticipate the cost to be no more than £1900, including flights - although these would need to be booked and paid for separately, as I am not a travel agent. India Visa costs and other incidentals, such as entry fees (currently £10 for the Taj) and drinks, will not be included. Transport in India will be by one or two private licensed car(s) seating up to 5 passengers each. Therefore, the trip will only run with either 5 or 10 persons, including myself as host. At this stage, I am looking to see how many members would be seriously interested in joining me on this trip, for the dates indicated. Please reply accordingly, so that I can get an idea of numbers. If successful, I would repeat the trip in the future. We would travel as individuals with a common interest in travel and photography. I do not have a travel license but I am putting this together so that we can benefit from travelling as a group. Room sharing would be required in twin or double rooms but I may be able to source singles at certain hotels, at additional cost. Registering your acceptance now will not commit you but please only accept if you are SERIOUSLY interested and can make those dates. A deposit will be requested at a later date............ it also goes without saying but please do not book any flights yet!! Further details will be made available to those who are interested, once I know if I can get enough people together to make it viable.
OUTLINE for PROPOSED TRIP Following on from my volunteering project in South Africa last September, I have been asked to put together an adventure for October / November 2019. I am in the planning stage for the trip but, in essence, there will be a 30-day packed itinerary in total, split into two parts: South Africa - commencing on or about 14th October, 2019 (approximately 10 days staying on a small private reserve in the Kruger Park area - this will include wildlife game drives and some photography, editing and critique sessions with an on-site professional photographer) Namibia and Botswana - commencing on or about 28th October, 2019 (approximately 18 days, visiting Etosha and Sossusvlei in Namibia and the Okavango Delta and Chobe National Park in Botswana). Accommodation will be a mixture of lodges, bed and breakfast and two person tents, and most of the meals will be included. Places will be limited to 6 or 7 persons on the South African sector and 10 persons on the Namibia/Botswana sector. Either or both sectors could be booked. Return international and internal flights would have to be booked and paid for separately. Please note that I am organising this trip as a private individual and do not have tour operator status. I anticipate the cost for the complete trip (excluding flights, personal insurance, drinks, personal spending etc) to be in the region of £4200 but this would include all accommodation (twin sharing), most meals, photography tuition in South Africa, game drives and boat trips on the Delta. I do have several people that have already expressed a firm interest in this adventure but there should still be a few places available. If you are SERIOUSLY INTERESTED in either or both of these trip segments and the DATES WOULD WORK for you, then please send me a PRIVATE message, indicating which part is of interest. Please supply a contact number. At this stage, I am just trying to get an idea of the demand for such a trip, however I do expect a lot of interest, as this represents amazing value. Allocated places will have to be on a first come, first served basis.
