I'm interested in joining an already established group of players. I've been pulling etiquette and RP from Critical Role on GeeksandSundry and implementing them in a private biweekly game. I'm respectful and mindful of others backgrounds and styles. I'm interested in joining a game that is once a month or biweekly on a weekend but possibly a weekday. I have two other "PCs" who may also be interested if more players are needed for a weekend session.
I normally hate to do this, but I am asking. This site does require a nominal amount of money to run, so I am asking for any contributions that you would be willing to give. If all 300+ members contributed a dollar, that would be more than enough, so not a lot is needed. Click on the Chip In Button on the main screen to donate. Thanks to everyone who has already sent in something! Most appreciated!
The stars are fading, the church rants over the sins of man, and your prospects are grim. You are the second son of a minor house trapped in your father's holding with no prospect of rising above your station. From the west tower you idly watch as your elder brother drills the household troops below. Troops that you were to lead in battle before the Decados mysteriously withdrew from the Imperial War. A war that was to bring you wealth and glory. Your fingers fumble for the notice that has grown frayed and yellowed from your repeated folding and unfolding of it. It speaks of the newly established order of Qwesting Knights sanctioned by the Emperor himself. It promises great opportunity for landless nobles willing to serve. If only you had a starship or the means to book passage for the small retinue of trusted followers with whom you have shared your plan. You wish only to be gone from here before your fathers passing. Your elder brother has grown more disdainful with each passing day since your mother died. He would not be wise to allow competition to his rule. Your daydream is interrupted by the knock at the door and a summons to your father's sick bed. He looks a frail and pale shadow of the great warrior whose steely gaze peered through to freeze your heart so many times in your youth. His wasting disease slowly chipping away at his skeletal figure. A coughing fit seizes his small frame as he sits upright and raises a skinny finger in your direction. "I have use for you." He rasps…. And so it begins. We are looking for 3-4 reliable (regular attendance is very important) players who care more about story and role playing than game mechanics and bonus stacking. We are willing to teach the right players the game and role play centric gaming style. This will be a long term campaign meeting weekly on Saturdays from 11-5. Please respond if interested.
There is literally nothing on th web in the Des Moines area. Looking to find a game to join or start one. Prefer 5e. Please message if any interest. I can DM but would be great if someone wants to run a campaign, I just ran one but wouldn't mind if there are players and no DM.
