Having Issues with your Profile Picture?

Having a personal profile photo is a requirement to maintain membership in our group. We believe this fosters community building and warmth. Our group is private and information, including profile pictures, are only visible by group members. In saying that, we recognize that some people will still need the option of more privacy. Semi-visual photos will be accepted on a case by case basis. Here is an example of an acceptable semi-visual facial photo: http://photos4.meetup...

If you recently uploaded a new photo and it is not displaying on your Polyamory Toronto profile, it is possible that this is a technical issue with Meetup settings. When deleting and adding photos, Meetup settings require you to take extra steps to make the new photo active for every group you’re a part of, meaning the new uploaded picture is only showing on your Main Meetup profile and not on the individual group profiles.

To update your Polyamory Toronto profile, follow these steps, from the desk-top version (not the app or mobile version)
1) visit our group page
2) click on the tab in the right hand corner that says “My Profile”. A drop down menu will appear, click on “View Profile”.
3) When your profile appears, you will notice the space where your photo should appear. Underneath that, you will see “Change Your Photo”. Click on that line.
4) A new box will open with the following choices

  • Use Facebook Photo
~ Important to note: if you choose this option, your Meetup photo will change whenever you change your Facebook photo. It may not always comply with our requirements
  • Upload a new photo
~ This will allow you to upload a new photo directly to your Polyamory Toronto profile
  • Use an existing photo
~ All photos uploaded to your main Meetup profile will be accessible using this option
  • Don’t show a photo
~ This is not an option for continued membership in our group and will result in removal.

5) Click done and your photo should now be displayed

Thank you for your continued understanding of our guidelines and your contribution in our community.
