What we're about

Calling all 40s, 50s and 60s people from all backgrounds and cultures.

Let’s come together for some amazing events because 40 is the new 30 and 50 is the new 40! etc.

Whether it's a live music event, comedy, theatre, a movie, a party, a specialist tour or a visit to place of interest, let's have fun like we did back in the 1980s and 90s, and even before that!

At our events, if you are arriving as a solo male or female, we aim to introduce everyone to each other as they arrive so that it's a great relaxed atmosphere for all.

Some of our events will be free, some will have a small charge and some will be at the cost of the event.

Whatever the event, the aim is to have fun and enjoy life, and that is certainly what we will do.

Hope to see you all soon at an event.

Best wishes from,

Cliff

Needs a location

£15.00

Join Shakespeare expert, and professional actor Declan as he guides you on a leisurely stroll around the locations of the life and times and creative genius of the world's finest ever writer, William Shakespeare.

Tour Highlights:

  • Visit the only two exact locations in London of Shakespeare houses.
  • See the practically unknown hidden monument created from one of Shakespeare's best-known speeches.
  • Go to the site of the Blackfriars Theatre, the lost sister theatre to the Globe.
  • See the spot where we believe Othello, King Lear and Macbeth were written.
  • Discover what Shakespeare was like as a man, including his complicated and tangled personal life.
  • Visit Church locations Shakespeare knew.
  • Hear some sublime Shakespeare speeches by professional actor Declan using Shakespeare's own immortal words.

This is a unique feature of the tour that people especially love.

(Please note that this tour does not visit the Globe Theatre. Also please note that Declan believes Shakespeare wrote the plays and does not believe the conspiracy theories that somebody else wrote them.)

(Please take care crossing the roads and look after your valuables. Declan will of course use his experience to guide you all around as safely as he can. Also hear the tale of Sawney Bean and his family, they had a lot in common with Sweeney Todd as you will find out if you join us on this horror walk! Come and be terrified, if you dare!

For "The Da Vinci Code" fans seeing The Temple Church is an added treat as it features in both the book and the film. You will also see the famous and historic "Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese" pub, centuries old, and frequented by some of the world's great writers.

Jenny combines 25 years of experience as one of London's top Horror Tour guides with her enthusiasm for dark history. The tour is delivered with Jenny's great personality and her unique ability to bring the most gruesome to life.

Jenny's chilling stories of terror will shake you to the very core!

The tour lasts two hours and finishes close to Blackfriars and St Paul's underground stations.

There is about 1 1/4 miles of walking in total on the route.

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult and the tour is not suitable for under 13s due to the gruesome content in it.
