The typical implementation approach for change, Big (Organization) Design Up Front, is often the source of resistance. Asking others to adopt new practices and work according to a new set of values is a big deal. It's no wonder we regularly run into resistance, even as we start to show performance and other improvements. Nothing can be more frustrating than seeing the work you've put into building a great team get compromised by others.
In this presentation we will see how the same process for developing consensus among management over how to proceed with an agile transformation is used to spotlight opportunities for improvement.
This is in contrast to an executive-led, BDUF implementation of a prescriptive organizational model. We will cover how to apply agile principles when the opportunity and willingness arises. We will learn tools to develop these opportunities and increase management's willingness to change.
* About the reasons different people will resist a change to agile- based on personality, position, and interests
* Tools to implement to prevent resistance and hedge against the inevitable resistance
* A 4-factor framework outlining a path for successful change
* Skills to work successfully with those who stand little to gain from adopting
