Special Event - 2 weeks only - Open Mike at Thorne Lounge 4260 SE Hawthorne
Wednesday 8/22 and 8/29 6 - 10 pm (sign up and playing starts at 6:00, some slots are booked in advance, some open for first come, first serve)
Come and sing, listen, eat, drink. Bring enough audience and you can get booked for your own gig by event planner Rachel.
(Rachel is our daughter- singer-songwriter-performer and she is managing this event for her friend Bryan - Owner of the Thorne
Could become a regular event in the future if there is enough interest and response)

Okay, I'm being lazy!
I am sorry for this one little spammy note, but frankly, it was easier on me than hunting down the various individual e-mails of the people who have been asking me questions about this gig from the workshops in the past month or two. If you'll indulge my one lazy "reply-all" style group-blast, I'd be very appreciative.
The attendees of the Music Development Club (and other members of this group) were asking about the details of this gig/venue-promotion, so I thought I'd pass them on here.
Finn Doxie was asked to come in and do some music at Shaker and Vine on Sunday night. If you haven't heard our lively re-orchestration of modern radio hits, then this is the perfect opportunity! We're waving the cover, and simply doing a new-millenium-style "pay if you feel like it" show!

They've expanded their food menu and added a full bar, and are actively trying to promote themselves as a music-destination spot in East Portland.
We appreciate all of the opportunities that this venue have provided for this group, its members, and even the bands that have spawned out of this group!
So come on out and support Shaker and Vine on Sunday night!
