The session will last 3 hours (with breaks) from 10am – 1 pm. The cost is $15 per person (cash or check). We announce early in the week the proposed model pose, and whether it'll be clothed or nude. Space is limited to 10 artists, and reservations are first come first served, so please RSVP to:
More Info on Facebook:
Please visit the Facebook page I set up for Figure Painting in Portland. It's called Portland Figure Painting and Drawing Group:
People can join the group to get up to date info about the B&P sessions (I post there first), and they can also post their figure work created in Portland to the page to share with everyone.
What to bring:
We suggest that you bring what you would to paint outdoors (with the exception of the hat and umbrella). Bring your own easel set up, with a portable table if you need one and a chair if you plan to sit while painting. Bring your own plastic trash bag and paper towels, and plan to pack your trash home. If you work in acrylics or water mixable oils, bring something to wrap your dirty brushes in to take them home to clean because the plumbing at the Brush and Palette is tender and can’t handle acrylics or water mixable oils.
There is a refrigerator for you to put your lunch, beverages or snacks in. There is a bathroom with a sink for you to wash your hands.
There is no parking in front of the Brush & Palette. You will essentially be going around the block to park. From Hwy 99 going south, turn onto Jennings Avenue heading east. You will pass the Brush and Palette on your right. Turn right at the next side street ( SE Addie Street), turn right again on SE Hull Avenue, and then right again onto SE Abernethy Lane. You can park on the curb along Abernethy Lane. Please keep access to the power station clear or you may be asked to move your car.
