Looking for a way to add meditation to your life but not sure where to start? Guided meditation can be a great way to begin. Meditation can help reduce stress and anxiety and boost your sense of connection and self-acceptance. Each class will start with a short introduction followed by a guided meditation. Tibetan bowls and bells will be used for parts of the meditation. We'll focus on the breath, relaxation and acceptance in the moment.

This is non-denominational group that will support you in recharging and having time to catch your breath and relax. 

We'll be meeting at the Nightingale Health and Well-Being Center at 5128 NE 42nd Avenue in Portland on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. 

The classes will be drop-in, on a rolling series schedule but because space is limited you will need to RSVP so we can make sure there's enough space for everyone. The door will be locked a few minutes after 7:30 p.m. so unfortunately we can't accommodate late arrivals. 

Also, if you can bring something to sit on that's appreciated. If you need a chair please let us know ahead of time. 

The class will be guided by Mary-Frances Makichen who has been meditating for over 30 years and previously offered meditation classes at The Center For Self-Teaching in Sacramento, California.
