For those on the west side or looking for more of a drop-in show, here's another choice for Friday night :) Catch Jim doing some solo acoustic stuff while you enjoy some delicious coffee beverages and pastries.
I am pretty new to guitar, having started playing in September, 2010.
In addition to acoustic guitars, we have had flute, clarinet, harmonica, electric bass (low volume) attend our supportive and inviting musical sessions. Any and all acoustic instruments are always welcome.
How does it work? Well you can bring sheet music, music in your head, or just play along with others who are leading a tune. We make an effort to include newbies and anyone who is playing with others for the first time. We all remember how that is.
The majority of students/guitarists never go beyond practicing at home and playing alone. This group is to meet other people to jam with. This group will change all that for you. One of the best ways to improve is to play along with other people. So sign up, come on out, and jam!
I am looking to see if there are any advanced or intermediate guitarists who would be interested in leading sessions that are focused on the intermediate and advanced guitarists. They can set the maximum number of attendees as well. Whoever steps forward to lead any of these sessions is welcome to set their guidelines in this regard.
There is also a need for hosts for the sessions of beginners. Please email Chris if you are interested.
