https://www.miyaradventures.com/trip/smith-rock-climbing-course/ Smith Rock State Park is one of the central climbing hubs of America, it’s also considered to be the birth of modern “Sport climbing.” The amazing basalt monoliths bursting out from the ground is a great contrast to the otherwise flat landscape around, and this creates some amazing views for anyone who climbs to the top. Smith Rock State Park gets 442,000 visitors a year and for good reason. Smith Rocks creates a great setting for new climbers wanting to expand their skills, climbers who want to push their grade, and comfort level. Smith Rocks is home to many classic single pitch routes and longer routes alike, pair that with your knowledgeable and friendly Miyar guides and you have an outing that you’ll remember for years to come. Parking: Smith Rocks has ample parking in the lots provided. There is a $5 parking fee per vehicle per day. For those who are spending three days this is recommended, for people spending four or more days it’s better to buy a yearly parking pass the Oregon State Parks pass only costs $20 and will get you in all year
