What we're about

This is a group for pet lovers who want to get together on a regular basis to discuss topics of general wellness and health for their pets. I am a licensed veterinarian with years of experience taking care of dogs, cats and horses. Although I have extensive experience in traditional veterinary medicine, I also believe that there are benefits to alternative medicine, especially to decrease reliance on prescription medications and improve quality of life for chronic health problems.

All dog and cat owners are welcome. My goal is to have discussions on topics that would be of interest to any pet owner. These topics could range from preventative and wellness care to specific health problems (including chronic disease management) and end of life care. I would welcome suggestions from the members about topics they want to get more information about. All of the meetings would be free. The location is to be determined but likely in NW Portland at a dog park or other venue where pets are welcome. As a veterinarian I believe that the best way to maintain the health of a pet is to have an educated and well informed owner, and these meetings would be designed to disseminate and share information rather than sell any products or services.
