Old Hawaiian proverb:
Ke malama óe i ka áina, na ka áina e malama ia óe.
When you take care of the land, the land will take care of you.

Sierra Club Columbia Group has a long standing partnership with Oregon Parks and Recreation for maintaining this 2 mile loop trail around a double water fall with commanding views of the Gorge. Come join us! All are welcome, including children when they bring their parent or legal guardian. Tools are supplied or bring your own work gloves, loppers, shovel &c, including, water and snack to suit. Work lasts 4 to 6 hours with volunteers frequently gathering for a late lunch at McMenamins’ Edgefield. This Saturday’s primary task will be relocating the Adam Alabarca memorial bench.

Carpool at 8:15 am from south entrance to MAX Gateway Park & Ride parking structure located just east of I-205 at 1321 NE 99th Ave, 97220; between Halsey and Glisan. Or, meet at the trailhead at 9 am: I-84 east to exit #28, turn right ¼ mile at the triangle, then west 3 miles to the trailhead. RSVPs are nice to plan tools, or just show up.
