What we're about

We use the FastAI (https://www.fast.ai/) library and (free, online) course materials (https://course.fast.ai/) as an entry point for self-learners who are new to AI. We focus on practical, applied, state-of-the-art methods for computer vision, natural language processing, and recommender systems while building knowledge about deep learning overall.

We host speakers on AI topics, hands-on workshops, career & industry talks, Kaggle competition & practice groups, and discuss cutting-edge methods for applied AI.

<<< Everyone is welcome @ Portland- Fast.AI! >>>

Expert? Come present an interesting topic, be a mentor, or recruit new talent.

Total Beginner? We'll get you started and even more excited about learning AI.

Somewhere In-Between? That's most of us- you'll be in great company!

Primary tools we'll use: Python, PyTorch, Jupyter notebooks <-- come learn about these, if you don't know about them already. In the future, we will have additional focus on: Swift, TensorFlow.

** Note: We are not directly affiliated with or sponsored by fast.ai. We're just a local meetup for Portland area self-learners who are using the fast.ai library and course materials to learn about and practice deep learning. **
