I'm a Visiting Fellow in Politics and Social Policy at Goldsmiths, University of London, where I worked full-time until the end of August 2012. I'm intereted in political ideas, risk and money and, since retiring, in growing some of my own food.

What Ed R. is saying about this Meetup Group

I'm impressed by the Positive Money team and believe that there is a huge job of public education to be done, which can be based squarely on PM's arguments about banking, money and reform of financial systems in the UK and around the world. As someone who has, until quite recently, taught a first year university course in Economics and Public Policy I recognise that conventional Economic's teaching and theory is seriously deficient. Those deficiencies have had a profoundly damaging effect on our public life and on public policy making. 'Where Does Money Come From?' and 'Modernising Money' are truly impressive contributions to the great task of shifting the centre of political gravity and policy making in the UK and building a fairer and more socially and environmentally responsible society. As a recovering party politician (ack's to Al Gore) I hope to be able to make a more constructive contribution to economic, political and social change in the UK than I have for quite a while.
