Join Potomac Pedalers and friends for a Tour de France Happy Hour at Rhodeside Grill in Arlington (Same place as last year.) All are welcome! Appetizers will be provided and there will be a cash bar. We'll be showing the 18th stage of the TdF which is from Gap to the top of Alpe-d'Huez. Here is what the TDF website says about the stage: "The frisson of excitement that went through the auditorium when we presented this stage at the Palais des Congrès in Paris last October proved we were spot on with our expectations: the double ascent of Alpe-d'Huez will be a sensation! This innovation comes at the end of a short stage that we wanted to be both nervous and dynamic. It's an ideal parcours for attackers, like the one that enabled Contador to turn things around at last year's Vuelta when everyone thought he was beaten. And, just as it suits him, it will also suit Purito Rodríguez? Climbing the Alpe twice for the first time in the 100th Tour will be something special..."
Rhodeside Grill is located at 1836 Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, VA just down from the Courthouse Metro Station (towards Roslyn) and a couple blocks from the Custis Trail. No registration required - just show up and have fun!
