Nám. Jiřího z Poděbrad, Prague
Our friend and fellow runner, Jasminka, comes from the mystical land of Serbia where the winter tradition of roasting chestnuts is ubiquitous. In wintertime, vendors in Belgrade and village alike, sell them at small carts in the street and the parks.
Jasminka coming from that land wants to share this hearty winter treat with us. And so, after a cold night’s run, we will return to the toasty warmth of her flat for the cozy and filling comfort of roasted chestnuts.
She also promises to investigate a little known sweet treat served in Serbia involving mashed and roasted chestnuts, cream and a sweetener. That sounds exceptional to me!
We will meet at Jasminka’s flat where you can leave your stuff and then run from there. After the run, we will return to her flat for the party. Note that space is limited. Change your RSVP if you realize that you can not attend.
I will send a message out before the run to attendees with Jasminka’s specific address, which is close to Jiřího z Poděbrad.
