Thank you Kim. If you want to start learning east coast swing (the most popular dance) see myself, Fred Schroeder, or John King and we'll get you started.

Dressy comfortable AND don’t wear a warm outfit no matter what time of year it is. If you do a fair amount of dancing, you'll get too hot. Bring a sweater for when you're not dancing and you cool off a bit. Try and wear leather soled shoes because they don't stick to the floor like rubber soles. If all you have is rubber then take a pieces to duct (silver) tape and cover your soles. That should last you for the evening. Eventually you might want to get a pair of dance shoes that have felt lined soles and heels. Sit at a table close to the dance floor (there is a better chance you'll get asked to dance compared to sitting in the back of the room). Try not to turn anyone down because other men might then hesitate to ask for fear of also being turned down. It's just 4 minutes or so anyway. SMILE and have a good time.

Wow - a lot of good feedback! Thank you Frank! (I may be in the "Elaine dance" category from the Jerry Seinfeld show, as I don't dance much.) It should be fun.

How do we pay the $15? Do we need to buy tickets online, or something?

  • Cindy J

I'm assuming tickets can be purchased at the door?
