UPDATE: We will meet as a group at NOON at the school. There is a covered patio area facing the greenspace/field where the fair is held. It has some picnic benches, so we will all meet there. Maybe have a quick lunch? Share ideas? Share which workshops you are attending? Maybe even a raffle for those who actually do show up!
Are you a homesteader? Interested in learning more about homesteading? Just looking for old-fashioned family fun? This is the place!
Join us in Lyle, Washington on Saturday, September 20th, 2014 for a full day of workshops and fun family activities!
We have gone to this for the past two years and LOVED it! We love this tiny town & get to meet a bunch of great people who live & work off-grid what they teach! Free admission and FREE workshops all day! Check out the list (some require an RSVP) on the website. I see there's even a HAM radio workshop this year. Make sure to buy raffle tickets! There's always a lot of great prizes and it's how they support the costs of putting this on each year. :)
Lyle Activity Center and Greenspace is located in Lyle, WA, along SR-14 / State Street, between 3rd & 4th. Google Maps – Washington 14 & 3rd St, Lyle, WA 98635. (From Portland, take I-84 east to the Hood River Bridge. Cross into Washington and turn east on SR-14 to Lyle. From The Dalles, cross The Dalles Bridge and turn west on SR-14 to Lyle.) Parking is on the street. There is limited food there at the fair (last year there was only two food vendors, but they were quite delicious!), so bring a packed lunch.
Yippee! We have the workshop listing!
