SlutWalk is a protest, a rally, and a demonstration of frustration and anger. We are protesting blaming victims of sexual violence for the violence perpetrated against them. No one is responsible for violence perpetrated against them, no matter what they wear, who they associate with, or who they are.
This all started in Toronto after police made comments against a rape victim that are all too common across the world: http://www.slutwalktoronto.com/
Here are some photos from marches in other cities: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/09/10/slutwalk-chicago-2013_n_3901085.html
Here is the Prescott SlutWalk facebook page, which has photos of our march last year: https://www.facebook.com/SlutwalkPrescott
We will start our march at Chipotle and go around the square, where we will stop to listen and share our marchers' stories of sexual violence and harassment.
Come dressed however you like!
If you want to wear less clothing, please remember that the Prescott Police Department does not allow genitals, rear ends, or nipples to be shown on bodies of any gender.
Feel free to bring signs if you want. Some of us will be making extra signs as well.
