This is a 7-week course that fuses the practice of mindfulness meditation with the play of Improv Comedy. Each week we will practice presence, training in mindfulness meditation and grounding ourselves in the here and now, before we embark on a hilarious, playful adventure of improvisational games and acted-out stories. Together we will cultivate connection and joy that we'll learn to take out into the world with us in our day-to-day lives. If we feel good towards the end of the course, we can hold a small improv comedy show for friends and family, but no one is forced to participate. No experience in either mindfulness practice or improv is required to take this course. All levels welcome.
This course runs for 7 classes, from 7:00 - 9:15 PM on Wednesday nights, from May 1st to June 12th. Note: RSVPing for this meetup is signing up for the whole course, not just the first night!
The cost of this course is $200. Please pay by cash or check on the opening night of the course.
