This group covers everything you might want to know about what is happening on Presque Isle and the various programs being held both on the park and within the Tom Ridge Environmental Center. We meet all over the park, at the Ridge Center and schedule many walks and other exciting programs and events.
If you are an experienced photographer, our speakers and friends are some of the best in the area and present many seminars during the year. Walkers, senior and otherwise will find many, many walks associated with Presque Isle. Love the lighthouses on the park? During the year, we will host special tours of all the lighthouses and give you a special look at the history of them as a bonus.
Are you a SENIOR? --we have twice a week programs at TREC of interest for you. 90% are free and open to the public. Love history and/or the environment? --watch for our various activities. Do you read all kinds of books? - - We are in the process of starting three book clubs 1, Novels 2, Non -Fiction (History, wildlife, etc.) 3. The Environment and Food Do you need help with your photography skills? We are setting up a series of workshops on Digital Photography Are you a writer or budding writer? Through the statewide Pennwriters organization we hold 2nd Saturday critique writing sessions at TREC at 1 p.m.
Are your ideas for the birds? Working with birders and Presque Isle Audubon, we will feature programs and keep you informed about Audubon activities in the area.
