I am looking to bring together a group of people interested in cooperatively sharing food costs and cooking labor, while building community and offering a networking opportunity for those interested in cooperative living. I envision that group members will take turns cooking, cleaning up, and (for those who can) hosting group dinners, with an emphasis on organic and sustainable foods. There will be a formal system of tracking work hours and collecting payment associated with these events. We could also arrange to go in together on bulk organic food purchasing and other benefits. Please join if you are interested, and once we have a few people, we can come together to share ideas, lay out ground rules, and get started. For more information about the cooperative concept, please read the Rochdale Principles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rochdale_Principles). The group can be as easy-going or as hard-core as the members desire.
