Start location/Route sheet/Map Ride Rating: C/C+ Level Check posting 2 hours before ride time for Weather related changes. A venerable classic in Reno that goes West to Verdi and back from Reno with no traffic lights. A great ride for all levels of cyclists. Climbs are easy with the exception of two short, steep sections. The ride is for riders who are not too fast and not too slow. It is more a social ride than a fast paced training ride. Regular ride leaders will not drop you. If there is no leader with a sign up sheet, the ride is not a Pedaler event. As you finish the ride, you will have the option of joining whomever wishes to for a snack, or complete lunch at one of the following locations; Buenos; or Franz’s Backstube / Yogurt Beach. We will have a rotating schedule with the location announced by the ride host before the ride. We hope to see you there! Unless the ride is posted “no drop,” you will be expected to maintain the pace set as stated in the ride description. It is important to confirm your ability to do this ride. Review the map/route sheet provided, and the ride rating as stated in the Ride Rating Sheet ( If you have questions contact the ride host. Please RSVP only if you ARE attending. Helmets are required and bikes should be in good working order. Please no earbuds or headphones. If you have any questions about what a group ride with the Procrastinating Pedalers entails, please refer to our Ride Etiquette Sheet ( The ride leaves at the posted time. Please be signed in and ready to ride five minutes before that time. Check the Meetup posting a couple of hours before the ride, to make sure that there are no changes. Your membership on Meetup is not a membership in the Procrastinating Pedalers Bike Club. To enjoy the full benefits of the Club, you must join the Club ($30 single member and $50 Joint). Some of the benefits included are: Insurance on our rides, Summer Picnic, Winter Holiday Party, and Discounts at Bike Shops. The Club also supports Bicycle Advocacy. What we're about

Public Group

Ride With The Procrastinating Pedalers of Reno-Tahoe! We're Northern Nevada's largest group of bicycling enthusiasts!

Our Mission: The Procrastinating Pedalers of Reno’s Mission is to promote safe, non-competitive, recreational bicycle riding and healthy lifestyles in a fun, social atmosphere.

Procrastinating Pedalers primary goal for this Meetup Group site is to allow Procrastinating Pedalers Ride Leaders the ability to schedule rides, and for Members to see the schedule and plan ahead for it. The rides (Meetups) that are posted here, for the most part, are regularly occurring rides that typically happen each week. We will also post special event rides as well. Only designated Procrastinating Pedalers Ride Leaders have the ability to schedule Meetups on this site. This prevents an overload of extraneous rides, and reduces the level of e-mail notifications sent to the Membership.

As you begin to ride regularly with the Procrastinating Pedalers, you'll begin to become comfortably affiliated with a core group of riders that are close to your skill level. During the summer months, Procrastinating Pedalers usually hosts regular to semi-regular weekday rides on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday’s. A Sunday Meetup is scheduled year-round.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to check out the Ride Guide (, which will get you started in the right place. If you come out and the pace is too fast, feel free to ask for some training tips. We realize that your time is valuable to you and your cycling time is limited; choosing the correct ride for your fitness level is important and doing so will help ensure a positive group riding experience.

Access to our Meetup site is free, but we encourage you to become a Procrastinating Pedalers member to take advantage of additional benefits such as: insurance coverage, discounts at participating bike shops, monthly club meetings, and social events. Visit for more information or…
