We have great demos, a great venue and we're thrilled to have Mark Pesce as our special guest and panelist for the event.

Mark is an inventor, broadcaster, writer and entrepreneur. Just to pick a few of Mark's achievements, he co-invented VRML (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VRML) (Virtual Reality Modelling Language) in 1994, was a panelist at ABC's hit show The New Inventors (http://www.abc.net.au/tv/newinventors/about/) and cofounded Moores Cloud n 2012.

Mark now hosts This Week in Startups Australia (http://twistartupsaus.tumblr.com/) and is a columnist at The Register (http://www.theregister.co.uk/Author/2864/).

We are also thrilled to have Alan Jones, Sydney's most influential startup evangelist.

Alan takes care of marketing at Bluechilli, and advises startup founders on the Lean Startup methodology, working with Startmate and Blackbird Ventures.

As a previous Product Director for South East Asia Yahoo!, inc. amongst many many other ventures in the tech world, Alan has become one of the key tech influencers in Australia.

The Schedule:

- 6.30 pm - Arrive, mingling, drinks

- 7 pm - Quick intro

- 7:05 - Demo 1

- 7:20 - Demo 2

- 7:35 - Demo 3

- 7:50 Closing note

If you're working on a product, and are looking for a platform to demo it, please get involved. Add your details and the product name in the comments section below (first come, first serve).

When demoing, some the things we might want to learn are:

- Key design decisions you made

- Any learnings you achieved through the Customer Development process, any pivots you made

- Some of the tech used

- The overarching goal and long term vision for the product

Just as a caveat, the demos are not sales pitches. The aim is to share products and product knowledge with the community. So we're adopting a "lighting talk" format, where the aim is to communicate the main ideas and the tech behind a product in under 10 minutes.

If you can keep your demo as short as possible, that will allow for more time for feedback.

Let's have an awesome evening :)
