Capturing the right customer insights for your product

Our topic for this month is on capturing relevant customer insights to help you develop your product. We have an exciting group of subject matter experts who will share tips on how you can effectively run customer research for your product or business:

1. Jen Reddington, GM at UsabilityOne: A consumer insights professional with more than a decade of experience in market and audience research across online and traditional media, Jen will reflect on her extensive expertise in designing research and analysis that answers the 'why' behind a diversity of business issues and translating the results into actionable insights.

2. Natalie Yan-Chatonsky, Head of Consulting Practice at Brainmates: Nat works as a product consultant to a wide range of clients across digital, television, medical devices, financial services and government industries. With her passion and expertise residing in the first stages of product development, Nat will provide a practical checklist of things that a Product Manager should consider when scoping out the market insight gathering stage of the development cycle.

3. Anthony Colfelt, Independent Customer Experience Consultant: Anthony is a versatile Customer Experience professional in the areas of research, strategy, design and experiential architecture and has worked for a myriad of design centric organisations including Different and Anthony will talk about design research and the use of methods such as contextual inquiry to extract the necessary insights to steer design for different touch points such as websites and mobile apps.

The night kicks off with drinks and nibblies at 6pm with talks starting at 6.30pm and Q&A at 7.15pm. Hope to see you all there!

Thanks again to ROAMZ for hosting us again at their fantastic venue and providing drinks for the night.

If no one has any objections I might look for some catering options for the night as well (Peter @astroboysoup).

p.s as spaces are limited to 30, if you can't come and have booked a spot, please make sure you update your attendance so that others who've missed out can come along!

    Hi attendees,

It's a full house already, so if you're no longer able to attend, we'd appreciate if you could change your RSVP so those on the waiting list can be confirmed.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Hi all, In the past we've had free reign on the number of attendees and have found it somewhat challenging to keep the audience engaged during the talks. We have however heard your feedback and as a result we've upped our guest list to 35, plus we've added a waiting list. Hope to see some of you there! Denise (@schmediad)
