• How to Launch a Product!

    BRAINMATES HQ

Product Talks provides the community with an opportunity to learn from people in Sydney that are working on Product Management and have a keen interest in the topic. ----- George Castellion & Stephen K. Markham’s empirical study reports that about 40% of new products launched to the market fail. *Published in the Journal of Product Innovation & Management 30 pp. [masked] (2013) http://goo.gl/M88dA5 Why? What is the difference in the process used to launch products that directly cause some to succeed in the marketplace and others to fail? ----- Kent Weathers is a leader with 15+ years experience bringing technology products to market. He founded a tech startup in the USA with 2 employees and scaled operations to a global, team of 60 in 3 countries before a successful exit. Today, he is Chief Operating Officer at Leadbolt in Sydney. ----- Kent is going to share a framework you can use to launch a product to the market with a significantly better chance of beating the odds, including lessons learned from multiple case studies that illustrate the importance of each key step along the journey to launch. He will also explore what happens after the launch. Can you get a product back on track after a dud of a launch? If you like duplicatable systems with clear steps to follow, templates you can use, and plenty of research, statistics, and case studies that support the framework, you won’t want to miss this meetup. Kent is an inspiring storyteller that entertains while he teaches. You will want to come to this meetup ready to take notes. ----- Please register your interest and watch this space for an update soon. Keep your Product Fit, and on behalf of the Brainmates team, I look forward to meeting you soon!

It also has been at risk of growing stale, loaded down by technical debt and a business model that makes it difficult to invest in innovation. We’re going to talk about how we’re trying to change that, while also transforming how we approach product. This session will begin with a 20-minute talk by the new CPO of Meetup, and then shift into a Q&A. Please register your interest and watch this space for an update soon.
