Join us for a conversation with Jade Kendall (http://bit.ly/JadeKStory) on using the art of story telling to influence. Jade has always been drawn to stories, which motivated his decision to get a B.A. in English Composition and Creative Writing, and later to write a handful of screenplays, having one produced into a feature length film. After spending 15 years working with at-risk youth in the inner city of Cincinnati, Jade began utilizing his storytelling skills in the business world, helping companies create content, marketing, and business development plans using their brand story as the foundation. His future plans include combining his love for people, business, and storytelling to start and develop a social enterprise or two.
Jade's thoughts on story telling:
Story has become quite the buzzword in the past decade or so, even though this popular communication tool has been used by every generation since the beginning of human life.
Story is a powerful tool for both personal and professional uses. The importance of crafting your professional story, whether it be the "about" tab on your website or the foundation for your marketing and sales campaigns, centers around the "why" of your brand. Why does your business exist? Why does it matter to the world?
Story also helps your brand distinguish itself from your competitors, highlighting what and how you do things differently than other businesses. This distinction is important to your customers, especially when they seek out which businesses and products can best satisfy their needs.
Therefore, it's crucial to tell your story in a way that you want it heard, or you risk your story being told in a way you didn't tell it. We can help develop your brand story.
