To celebrate the Christmas season we have a brand new ProductTank event to share and spread knowledge around Product.

We are welcoming two amazing speakers: Carlos Marques, Head of Product Marketing at WeDo Technologies, and Luís Trindade, Principal Product Owner at Farfetch. Their talks will be:

Which levers to pull to make the transition from a service to a product company?

Delivering professional IT services based on specialized expertise can be very lucrative. But there’s a less obvious downside: if the company wants to scale and double its revenue, it has to double its staff of consultants. How do you make the transition around the different internal and external stakeholders to move from a service to a product company capable of scaling its revenues? During this presentation, I will present some challenges and levers that can be pulled to make productivity rise, efficiencies increase, as productized services take over high-volume tasks and aid judgment-driven processes.

Short Bio:
Joining WeDo Technologies in 2009, Carlos Marques previously held roles in marketing and sales for IT companies. Carlos is WeDo Technologies’ Head of Product Marketing, the leader of the company product board - the “meeting point” for product & services strategy at WeDo Technologies. Carlos is also the person responsible for managing the product roadmap process in the company.

Experimentation: The circle path from insights to learnings

The main objective of this talk is to explain what is the importance of doing experimentation on any company, the different tools to be used at each maturity stage, and how it can be the driver for innovation and evolution through the learnings that will be achieved.

Short Bio:
Luís is currently the Principal Product Owner for the Experimentation area at Farfetch, promoting a Test & Learn Center of Excellence across the company. Luís is also the Theme Manager for the strategic pillar "Fashion Meets Data" for the next 3 years. And before was leading the Data Products area (recommendations, conversational commerce and a big sponsor of the computer vision areas). Luís started a few years back as a software engineer but quickly had the necessity to understand how users interacted with products and that lead to being responsible for all the interaction and user experience. Then in a shift to the startup ecosystem accepted the challenge as Technology Lead at a company builder, developing new global distributable products and services in the digital area, helping the portfolio to get the necessary boost on tech, ux/ui and product expertise.
