Like any good Product Manager, I listened to my "users." Many of you have requested that we hold a repeat of this Edge Computing Session downtown! In addition, if you have expertise in the area and would like to join to present a different perspective let me know!
Over the past 15-20 years, a massive shift from on-premise software and applications to cloud computing has taken place. With the advent of IoT, AI, and the need for data processing closer to end users, the next shift is already beginning to take place. While some applications remain efficient through the use of centralized cloud computing locations, others products require even closer data processing centers and this has brought life to the term Edge Computing.
