## Job van der Voort - Building a product in pajama pants ##
In three years, GitLab has grown from a small open source project to a company with almost 300 employees, all working from home (hence the pajama pants). To do this, we have created our own way of building products, which we call 'Conversational Development'. In this talk, I'll explain what that is, and how it can benefit everyone, even if you have to wear normal pants and work in an office.
Coming from neuroscience, Job went head-first into tech by starting a startup, later working as a software engineer and eventually joining GitLab. At GitLab he's done everything from support, engineering to marketing, but ended up leading the direction of its product as VP of Product. In his free time, Job likes to build small, useful apps and play (board) games.
## Panel Discussion Members ##
What is Product like in Porto? What is currently happening? What are the future challenges?
- Ricardo Azevedo - Mindera
Ricardo is an engineer that moved towards product management with over 5 years professional experience building leading online products, at Portugal Telecom, Critical Links and Mindera and co-founder/speaker at the The 1st Floor Challenge - a world wide Project Management hands-on challenge. Passionate for product design has a track record of defining strategy, designing solutions and implementing successful projects in both startup as well as corporate environments.
- Ricardo Ribeiro - Sonae

- Frederico Sampaio - Blip
Before Blip, I worked as a Tester in big multinational companies like Qimonda, Wedo Technologies and Critical Manufacturing. However, the curiosity for the business side of things, which Blip brought me, made me take a career turn to the Product side.
I've been a Product Owner for 5 years. I've helped creating and building several products (mobile and desktop) of Betfair (initially) and PaddyPower (present day).
