It’s been awhile since our last ProductTank, and it’s time for us to get them started again!

The theme for this event will be “A day in the life of a Product Manager: what does the role look like in different companies, industries, and levels?”

We’ll have several speakers coming in to give lightning talks to describe what it is like to work in their position. Our goal is to demonstrate how much the PM role can vary and provide us all with some inspiration for how we can define our own roles.

Speakers include:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marcus Kohlberg, Spotify

Marcus has spent the past few years working in the growth organisation at Spotify, and is currently the product manager for subscriber retention.

Marcus has a background in search engine optimisation and entrepreneurship within affiliate marketing, and has studied Industrial Engineering and Management at KTH here in Stockholm.

Marcus will talk about the challenges of the product manager role in an organisation where business stakeholders outnumber product managers 10:1.

Stina Redemo, Benify

Stina is responsible for UX within Benify’s product management team. As one of the world’s fastest growing HR-tech companies, Benify provides intelligent platform solutions for the modern employer – ensuring that its clients’ employees are well looked after in areas of employee benefits and rewards (covering everything from gym cards to laser eye surgery, and pension funds to automated salary sacrifice solutions).

Benify employs a core product team – assigning a greater scope to each product manager's day-to-day business. This means that life as a product manager at Benify is likely to consist of a variation of tasks – from client consultations, defining stakeholder requirements, managing product backlog, co-ordinating development projects, in addition to the strategic internal navigation of the product.

For those of you that are new to ProductTank, here's a brief intro:

ProductTank provides an opportunity for Product Managers working in a variety of industries to exchange ideas and experiences about Product Management, Business Modelling, Metrics, Usability and all the other things that get us excited. ProductTank was started in London, UK, and often features talks from guest speakers on both technical and business related topics, networking opportunities, and good old-fashioned networking in a casual setting.
