Great to have Mike Hyde, Product Manager at Storypark, talk to us about what it's like to be the first...
Have you ever thought of joining a startup?
Startups are a land of opportunities for product managers. The first product manager is often brought on when the founders have likely gotten the company to a place where early adopters are using it, and hopefully some revenue is coming in the door. Now it's time to grow and a product manager can play a big part in this.
Joining a startup is a great place to build your product leadership skills. It’s a time when understanding your customers and balancing priorities can be make or break. You’ll want and need to achieve a lot often with very little.
Mike will share his experience and learnings from joining Storypark and what some of the differences are from being a product manager at a bigger corporate.
Mike will also draw on his product leadership experience at Xero, CoreLogic and while mentoring early stage startups.
