Stephen and Tim, Senior Product Managers at Arbor Education, London.
Tim: After deciding that teaching wasn’t the career for him, Tim found his way into Product Management, working on assessment products in a time of huge policy change. Now a Senior Product Manager at Arbor leading teams to solve the problems faced by schools, Tim’s experience has given him a unique take on what success looks like when user centered, competes with customer centered.
Stephen: Before taking the leap into Product Management, Stephen was a secondary school teacher and part time software developer. During this time as a teacher, Stephen created multiple bespoke software system to track student progress and manage behaviour. He has spoken about the subject of EdTech and led CPD events at regional and national level. In his spare time, Stephen likes nothing more than spending time in his native Yorkshire and discovering new flavours of continental lager.
Stephen and Tim will be speaking about the challenges of ‘building fast and slow’ in a fast paced, competitive emerging sector; and how they balance out the needs of the ‘buyer’ and the ‘user’.
